My
understanding is that the level of wickedness in the world leading up to the
Second Coming will exceed that of the time of NoahÕs Flood.
Before
the Flood, sexual perversion was rampant and there were fallen angels
fornicating with women, producing giant humans with supernatural strength who
were bent on violence.
Of
this time period, Jewish historian Josephus confirms, ÒNow this posterity of
Seth continued to esteem God as the Lord of the universe, and to have an entire
regard to virtue, for seven generations; but in process of time they were
perverted, and forsook the practices of their forefathers, and did neither pay
those honors to God which were appointed them, nor had they any concern to do
justice towards men.
ÒBut
for what degree of zeal they had formerly shown for virtue, they now showed
by their actions a double degree of wickedness; whereby they made God to be
their enemy, for many angels of God accompanied with women, and begat sons that
proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence
they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, That these men did what
resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians call giants.Ó

Daniel
2:43 says about the Antichrist kingdom of the Òlast daysÓ: ÒAnd whereas thou
sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed
of men: but
they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.Ó
Jordan
explains, ÒYou remember that thing back over in Genesis 6 (with the giants) where
there was some of that same kind of thing going on? There are some strange
things headed for this planet in the future, folks. The Trib is going to be a
strange thing.
. .Ó
Revelation
tells us that in the middle of the tribulation, a beast will ascend up out of
the bottomless pit and literally take over the body of the Antichrist. The
Antichrist as Òthe man of sinÓ becomes the Ôson of perditionÕ—the
personification of all the satanic policy of evil. SatanÕs lie program from
Isaiah 14 gains its ultimate manifestation in that man who is iron and clay
mixed together.

As
we know, Noah and the ark serve as a picture-type of the upcoming tribulation period.
There will be a Òlittle flockÓ of believers in Israel who persevere on into the
kingdom, just like Noah and his family persevered through the wrath of the Flood
into the new earth.
What
gets me is that the sexual perversion from the pre-Flood world returns to NoahÕs
own family when he gets drunk and his son, Ham, commits an act of sodomy on
him!
Genesis
9:20-24 reads, ÒAnd Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
[21] And he drank of the wine,
and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
[22] And
Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren
without.
[23] And
Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and
went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were
backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
[24] And
Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.Ó
Jordan
explains, ÒThe thing about Ham is he sees his dad sin and then he rejoices
in it and goes and spreads the news of it abroad. I mean, he went and told his
brothers about the shame of it.
ÒIf
HamÕs intention had been one of honoring his dad, and not wanting to promote
and perpetuate the immorality of the situation, he would have done differently;
he would have done what his brothers did in verse 23. Instead, itÕs an
illustration of Romans 1:32 (ÔWho knowing the judgment of God, that they which
commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure
in them that do themÕ).
ÒWhen
it says in Gen. 9:22 that he Ôsaw the nakedness of his father,Õ you can define
that scripture with scripture to be an intimate relationship involving sex. Now
sex between a daddy and a son isnÕt something you want to think about, is it? ItÕs
not a pretty picture.
ÒIn Leviticus 18, it says, ÔNone
of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their
nakedness: I am the LORD. The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy
mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her
nakedness.Õ
ÒYou read down through the
passage and itÕs clear he isnÕt just talking about just wanting to pull on
somebodyÕs skirt and look at their bare legs.
ÒIn
verse 19 of Leviticus it says, ÔAlso thou shalt not approach unto a woman to
uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.Õ ThatÕs
talking about the menstrual period.
ÒThatÕs
the issue in the Bible about covering and uncovering the nakedness, so if you
take the passages the way they stand. . . Leviticus 20:17, for another, says, ÔAnd
if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's
daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked
thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath
uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.Õ
ÒFolks,
there isnÕt any doubt whatÕs going on here. When you go back to Genesis 9,
itÕs obvious that the thingÕs equivalent to an act of fornication. In verse 22,
Ham sees the nakedness of his father and the indication is there was some
rather unsightly immorality and a sodomy kind of a situation.Ó

NoahÕs
three boys became the progenitors of the whole human race and we are all
descendants of Noah either by Shem, Japheth or Ham.
Noah,
who was a prophet, upon awakening from his drunken sleep and realizing what
happened, declared, ÒCursed be Canaan (EditorÕs Note: Canaan is the son
of Ham);
a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
[26] And
he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
[27] God
shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan
shall be his servant.Ó
Jordan
explains, ÒNoah stands there with his boys and says, ÔThis is going to happen to
you and this is going to happen to you,Õ and he makes a prophecy about whatÕs
going to happen to their descendants.
ÒItÕs
important to understand that the contributions of Shem, Ham and Japheth which Noah
identifies here, are intended to be blended together into a single organized
way of life that would result in the highest possible form of human
civilization.
ÒWhat
GodÕs doing here is HeÕs giving us some understanding about how the nations are
to operate. HeÕs telling us things about how the worldÕs made up that if the
politicians, and the pundits, and the people trying to run the world today . .
. if they understood it there could be peace and harmony and advancement for
the whole civilization.
ÒBut
because men reject the Word of God and think itÕs stupid that God could tell
them anything about what mankind is like, they go on in ignorance and beat
their fool heads against the wall until theyÕre bloody, and battered, and
senseless.
ÒWhat
youÕre going to see here is a divinely appointed division of responsibility to care
for the specific needs of mankind at three fundamental levels. There are going
to be three racial heads: Shem, Ham and Japheth.
*****
Bible
teacher Noah Hutchings informs in his 1998 book, God Divided the Nations, that the Shemitic peoples Òincluded
the Arabic countries and the nations in the Orient.Ó The descendants of Ham
settled the continent of Africa and are responsible for the Egyptian Empire.
As
for the descendants of Japheth, Hutchings writes, ÒNo great identifiable
Japhetic nation, empire, or society had appeared up to the time that
Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem. . . A Japhetic alliance, Medo-Persia,
defeated Babylon in 538 B.C. and became the worldÕs dominant empire.Ó Greece
and Rome were Japhetic empires, as well as the Spanish Empire, the French
Empire, the German Empire, the Dutch Empire, the Belgian Empire, the British
Empire, etc.
Jordan
says, ÒGod appoints each one of these (three racial groups) to a specific area
of human need. What are your needs? Well, there are spiritual needs, physical
needs and intellectual needs. You need to have inner strength. You need to have
some skill to take care of things and get the job done, and then you need to
have some purpose and direction for your life.
ÒThese
three needs are designed to be met by the specific contributions of these three
racial groups. Shem is given charge over religion, Ham is given charge over
technology and Japheth, well, heÕs the philosopher in the bunch.
ÒShem
develops religion. Every world religion comes from that group of people there.
Ham is the inventor. HeÕs the one whoÕs going to go out and develop a way to
get the job done. Japheth doesnÕt invent very much, contrary to menÕs
opinion. What he does is he takes ShemÕs religion, and HamÕs technology and he
carries it; he expands it.
ÒThe
difference of the contribution doesnÕt equal one of them being more superior
than the other. It doesnÕt equal one individual, one group, or one function
being more important. ItÕs the flow of the group. Shem is in his head, Ham is
thinking about getting the work done and Japheth is looking at how I can take
that and make more out of it. You know you could solve half the worldÕs
problems if you applied that?
